The Taiwan Finance Association (TFA) and Department of Finance and International Business of the College of Management at Fu Jen Catholic University will jointly host the “2026 Taiwan Finance Association (TFA) Annual Meeting and International Conference” on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, 2026. The conference theme is “Climate Risk and Sustainable Finance”. This event aims to bring together the knowledge and experience of domestic and international experts and scholars, combined with the resources of academia, industry, and government, to enhance academic research and strengthen the international competitiveness of Taiwan’s financial industry.

【Conference Topics】
This conference invites paper submissions spanning diverse areas of financial research, including climate risk, sustainable finance, artificial intelligence in finance, financial technology and big data, corporate governance, corporate finance, asset pricing, investment and securities analysis, derivatives, financial institutions, financial econometrics, insurance and risk management, real estate finance, financial accounting, financial markets, corporate social responsibility, sustainable finance (ESG), ethics in finance, and other related financial topics.

【Keynote Speaker】
Prof. Marcin Kacperczyk
Professor of Finance, Imperial College London Business School
Marcin Kacperczyk is a Professor of Finance at Imperial College Business School and a Research Fellow at CEPR. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Review of Finance and has held associate editorships at several leading finance journals, including Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Management Science, and Review of Financial Studies. His research focuses on Climate Finance, asset pricing, institutional investors, financial intermediation, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, and has been published in top-tier academic journals such as Journal of Finance, Econometrica, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies, providing influential theoretical insights and key evidence for climate finance and sustainability transitions.

【Paper Submission】
1.    Papers should be submitted through the online submission system (https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/TFA2026/).
2.    Authors are required to submit one file in PDF (or Word) format: an anonymous version of the complete paper without author names or affiliations.
* File names should follow the format: 【2026 TFA_Paper Title】.
3.    Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the formatting guidelines of the Journal of Financial Studies.
4.    For each accepted paper, at least one author must register for and attend the conference to present the paper.

4.    Notification of Acceptance: Before April 20, 2026

【Awards】
1.   Fubon Best Paper Award: 5
TFA will reimburse the award winner NT$100,000 for attending top international conferences in finance, including AFA, WFA, and EFA. Sponsored authors must be an active member of TFA and hold faculty positions or be Ph.D. students in Taiwan.
2.  Best Paper Award of Journal of Financial Studies: 4
The award winner will be recognized with a prize of NT$25,000. The authors will be required to go through the review and revision process for publication in the Journal of Financial Studies. 
3.   Manulife Investment Bank X Aberdeen ESG-Sustainable Investment and Development Paper Award (See the attached file)
◼ Faculty and Researcher Division: tenure-tracked faculty/researchers from domestic universities and research institutions. The author should be the member of TFA.
   ◉ Outstanding Award: 1 article, NT$60,000 for each article.
   ◉ Excellent Award: 2 articles, NT$30,000 for each article.
◼ Doctoral group: Applicants must be currently enrolled in a finance-related doctoral program at a domestic university or college, or scheduled to graduate between June 2026 and July 2027 (Academic Year 114, June – Academic Year 115, July), with a recommendation from their academic advisor. For papers co-authored with faculty members, the doctoral student must be the main contributor and corresponding author, and must present the paper at the 2026 TFA annual conference. The advisor should be the member of TFA.
   ◉ Outstanding Award: 1 article, NT$30,000 for each article.
   ◉ Excellent Award: 2 articles, NT$20,000 for each article.
◼Master’s Group: Applicants must be graduating from a finance-related master’s program at a domestic university or college between June 2026 and July 2027 (Academic Year 114, June – Academic Year 115, July), with a recommendation from their academic advisor. The advisor should be the member of TFA.
   ◉ Outstanding Award: 1 article, NT$20,000 for each article.
   ◉ Excellent Award: 2 articles, NT$10,000 for each article.
◼ All award recipients must attend the award ceremony. Faculty and Researcher Division and Doctoral group award recipients will be invited to present at the [ESG Award] session. The award will be cancelled if not attend and present.
